"I have never responded to a company about their product, but this time I feel I should.  About 4 years ago we had a small house fire and in another room there was lots of black smoke and soot damage on the carpet.  We had previously used many products that we were told would get this stain out, which none did, then finally was told we would have to replace the carpet. So I thought what would it hurt to try just one more product and I am so glad I did. We sprayed the ForceOut on the carpet, let it set for about 5 to 10 minutes, rubbed it with a damp rag that was moistened with ForceOut and it began to remove the black stain.  We did this a few times, shampooed the carpet with Forceout and the stain was completely removed. I also had a walnut stain on my vinyl floor and it completely removed it.
